We left the house at 8:30, stopped at Walmart in Rexdale and visited with my dad till it was time to go to the airport.  Sister Jennie dropped us off at noon.  We sailed through customs with our Canadian passport with no problems.  Yahoo.

In the airport at Minneapolis we walked to our gate, instead of taking the bus.  A 25 minutes walk.  By the time we got to the gate, they started boarding.  A 5 hour flight to Fairbanks Alaska. Picture is leaving Minneapolis.

The flight to Fairbanks was breathtaking.  This is what we saw the whole way until the Rockies.
Love the clouds casting shadows on the grounds below.  I had one picture with a cloud looking like God's finger pointing at the Rockies and saying, "'this is what I created" .  Working on a tiny computer, I can't find the picture.  Will check at home.

In the airport we were greeted by a Princess representative. Luggage was taken to the hotel for us, and we were escorted to the bus 7:30 at night local time, still full sun, but a little cool.  19 hours per day sunlight.  Gotta love it.  We all received an envelope with hotel keys and instructions for the next days events.   We had no food on either flights, only cookies and drinks.  Upon arrival at the hotel, everyone flew to the grill and bar in the hotel.  We were pretty hungry.  Supper at 1 am our time,  9:30 local time.   Then straight to bed.  Good night all.
